Meeting in the music department of Rhode Island College and becoming fast friends Alicia and Chris bring the energies of love and companionship to every performance. Although a brief meeting at the music department of Rhode Island College was not to be the last, it was the spark that was to blossom into their loving partnership much later. Having gone on separately to experience life with its travels, children, different homes and various other adventures these soul mates ultimately came back together. A bit older, but much wiser, the couple reconnected after 15 years to play a wedding! The immediate thought…we should do this again. And the rest is history. Now they let the music speak for itself.
Our Vows
Shortly after that first wedding gig together (a few months give or take) Alicia and Chris began to see each other as more than just friends. The first date was at a favorite Shabu-shabu restaurant in Providence. The first time they realized it was to be was an evening on the couch with home made soup and the New Years Day Twilight Zone Marathon on T.V. That Spring they moved in together and began what was to be a relatively whirlwind courtship. The proposal came on a romantic trip to see a concert in Freeport Ma. The next day on the way home it was all over the radio that Covid was gaining momentum and the world was shutting down. This led to an intimate family ceremony including 35 family and friends a year later. Believe it or not, the soon to be wedded couple COULD NOT FIND ANY MUSICIANS TO PLAY THIER WEDDING! So they did what any musicians would do. They played their own ceremony! Being songwriters themselves, there are always ideas being passed around. A melody here, some words there. It was one of these ideas that had been circulating that Chris used to write the song that Alicia would walk down the aisle to. The song is named “I Do”. We hope you enjoy it.
